This Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey has a mash bill of 95% rye 5% malted barley which was also distilled and stored in the same warehouses as Buffalo Trace and Bernheim. These rich in history and flavor warehouses give Rare Character its exceptional taste profile of Stone Fruit & spearmint with a softer texture.
95/5 AKA Indiana Style Rye has become popular with brands like Bulliet, High West, Angels Envy, Willett Family Estate, New Riff and Rabbit Hole. This style paired with the hand picked barrels contributes its distinct profile. The devil is in the details from start to the finishing in Stanford, Central Kentucky where the barrel was also left open to the natural climate rounding out and further softening the Straight Rye Whiskey
